Piripoho Navigator and Services
FREE Support for Health and Social Needs
The Piripoho Service is a collaboration with Mokoia Community Association, Tatau Pounamu Collective, Ngāti Pikiao (formally Owhata) Medical Centre, Ministry of Social Development and the Lakes District Health Board with a vision for every child 0 – 18yrs and whānau who are living on the Eastside of Rotorua.
All Piripoho services are FREE of charge.
Our Piripoho Nurse service can support by providing:
Health and wellness checks (BP, HR, and temperatures).
Diagnostic testing (throat swabs, HPV testing and viral swabs).
Prescribe a large range of medication for acute conditions (strep, skin, respiratory infections, conjunctivitis, pain relief and headlice).
Blood tests (cardiovascular tests and diabetes).
Pregnancy tests, contraception education and medication

Our Piripoho Navigator service can support by providing:
Up to date social service information and resources
Appointments and Navigation support, i.e. with MSD (work and income) and other service providers
In home visits
Referrals to other support services i.e. counsellors
Transport to social service-related appointments (if required)
Finances
Health
Advocacy
Housing
And or other social service-related support or issues you face daily.
