FREE Support for health & social needs

Piripoho reflects the love; the embracing; the nurturing and protection a mother (or father) provides to her pepe (baby).

The Piripoho Service is a collaboration with Mokoia Community Association, Tatau Pounamu Collective, Owhata Medical Centre, Ministry of Social Development and the Lakes District Health Board with a vision for every child 0 – 18yrs & whānau, living Eastside of Rotorua, to be safe and empowered to reach their full potential.

The Piripoho team are able to respond to health and social issues that arise and are already present in our community.

Our Piripoho Nurse service can support by providing:

  • Up to date health information & resources

  • Nurse appointments and health check ups

  • In home visits

  • Medication

  • Transport to health appointments (if required)

  • Other health related support

Our Piripoho Navigator service can support by providing:

  • Up to date social service information & resources

  • Appointments & Navigational support i.e. with MSD and other service providers

  • In home visits

  • Referrals to other support services i.e counsellors

  • Transport to social service related appointments (if required)

  • Other social service related support

All Piripoho services are FREE of charge.
