Community Led Initiatives

MCA has made a commitment to using community-led principles in working alongside its Eastside communities. These principles include working with our communities (as either individuals, families, neighborhoods, or groups of interest) to create and achieve locally owned visions and goals. It enables our communities to make the most of all they’ve got, using a strength based, collaborative approach. In working alongside our Eastside communities MCA may act as a facilitator, broker, advocate, educator administrator and/or communication hub. If there is something you would like some help with, or if you would like to be involved in making a difference in Eastside Rotorua, please give us a call on 07 345 5971.

The Mokoia Community Association is privileged to have the support of over 80 volunteers who share their skills and knowledge in a number of ways: from delivering our newsletter, assisting in the office, helping in the gardens, serving on our Board and completing specific projects. We would love to hear from anyone who would like to join our team.
